Apple Cider Vinegar: A Brilliant Toner For Any Skin Type
We all want our skin to look its best. Apple cider vinegar may help. Acne, wrinkles, discoloration or any other skin condition can make anyone self-conscious. I love using natural products right now and am seeing some differences in my skin’s appearance. Well, except under my eyes, but I need to sleep more than 4 hours, and my sinuses are driving me nuts with my allergies this season. As an important note, sinus issues can cause dark circles under your eyes.
I’m still working on a cleanser that benefits my skin. In the meantime, I do use a natural toner – apple cider vinegar.
Toner works well to remove extra dirt, set your moisturizer and eye cream, as well as take-off excess makeup that cleansers can leave behind.
I find apple cider vinegar beneficial for me. It also works for various skin types, so I’ve given the mixture measurements for different types of skin.
How To Make It
I will give measurements for short-term use, so you can test it out, as well as for extended use if you find it works for you and want it to last longer. You can store it at room temperature. From this point on, I am going to use the abbreviation ACV for apple cider vinegar. It is just shorter to read!
Cleanse your skin before using it.
Dab some on your wrist to do a patch test before using it to make sure you’re not allergic.
Omega Nutrition is the brand I use because it’s available near me, but there are a lot of great organic options out there.
For sensitive skin
Mix 1-part ACV with 4-parts water, for example, 1 tablespoon of ACV mixed with 4 tablespoons of water. For a larger quantity, combine 1 cup of apple cider vinegar with 1 liter of water.
For normal or dry skin
Mix 1-part ACV with 2-parts water, for example, take 1 tablespoon of ACV and combine with 2 tablespoons of water. For a larger quantity, mix 1 cup of the vinegar with 2 cups of water.
For oily skin
Mix 1-part ACV with 1-part water, for example, take one tablespoon each of ACV and water. For a larger quantity, use 1 cup of each and mix.
Dab a little of it on a cotton ball and apply it to your face or affected area. Try it morning and night. With frequent use, it can help clear acne and fade the dark spots caused by acne scars.
