Natural Ways for Stronger, and Whiter Teeth

Stronger whiter teeth

My teeth are strong. Since I was a kid, my parents focused on a combination of natural and other products to ensure we had stronger and whiter teeth. So, I attribute it to that and genetics. Here are some ways you can get stronger, whiter teeth with products you may already have in your kitchen.

Apples

Apples for everything tooth related! I eat one or two apples a day. They are rich in fiber and help scrub your teeth, gums, and tongue. The skin is highest in fiber, and as you chew, it helps remove stains and fights plaque. Apples can also freshen breath.

Baking Soda

If you’ve read my other natural product articles, you know how I feel about coconut oil so no surprise it’s in this post! Coconut oil has fatty acids that break down into enzymes that whiten teeth when they come in contact with your saliva. To make the paste:

Heat up a cup of coconut oil until it becomes liquid. Mix in two teaspoons of baking soda.

Optional: Mix five to 10 drops of natural spearmint essential oil into it. Spearmint has benefits for healthier gums.

Brush it onto your teeth for five minutes and rinse it out.

Strawberry Paste

Strawberries contain an acid which dissolves stains on teeth from things like coffee, tea, and red wine. To make the paste:

Mash two strawberries with a fork, and add a teaspoon of baking soda. Brush it onto your teeth for five minutes and then rinse.

Like baking soda, when used too often, the acid in the paste can cause teeth to erode so use it only once or twice a week.

These are some of my tips for stronger and whiter teeth. Check out some more of natural tips you can use with kitchen basics.
